Monday-Thursday, 8:00am – 6:30pm, and Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm. For individuals in academic

Course Syllabus
Instructors provide students with syllabi during the first week of each semester, or request one
from your department’s Administrative Assistant.

ID’s are free and will be available at the 79 NM Gallery during the first two weeks of school.

Computer labs
The Mac Lab is located in 180 NM, 4th Floor, and SGI Lab is located in 180 NM, 3rd Floor. Both
labs have designated hours for use by all students and by those who have paid a lab fee. Contact
any department’s administrative assistant for that lab schedule or call 415.618.3773 for the Mac
Lab and 415.618.3820 for the SGI Lab.
Reimbursement procedures
Students should contact their advisor who will provide them with the information and forms to be
filled out for any refunds.

Department Directors
Call 415.274.2200 to speak with an Academy Operator who can direct you to Department Directors,
or call the contact number listed in the department contacts section of this guide.
The Financial Aid Department
Offices are located in 79 NM, 3rd Floor. You can contact the department’s administrative
assistant at 415.618.6190.
Lost items
Please call Security at 415.618.3897, or go to the Security Office located at 180 NM in the
basement.
Class supplies and textbooks
Art supplies for all classes are available at discounted prices for all Academy students at
Utrecht Art Supplies, located at 149 NM St. All textbooks are available at discount prices at
Academy of Art University Virtual Bookstore. Some courses
may have mandatory course fees, which cover supply kits that will be given to you.

Information on Academy Scholarships
Individual academic departments have scholarships from private and corporate gifts and
endowments. Ask your Department Director or Administrative Assistant about scholarships that may be
available.
