With so many diverse nationalities, 12 different majors, and a constantly growing student population, our Athletics program provides students with an opportunity to interact with their peers regardless of their cultural background. Academy Rowing Team Success at Wine Country Classic

Academy Rowing Team members Zachary Roberts and Christopher Da Sie made a huge impression in their first race representing the Academy of Art University in the Wine Country Classic hosted by the North Bay Rowing Club in Petaluma. The Academy placed second to the Nationally ranked Stanford Crew team in the Men’s 5 Kilometer (3 mile) course with a time of 19 minutes and 58 seconds. This was Zach Roberts’ first competitive event as a rower, and while Chris Da Sie has competed many times, this was his first race with the Academy. The team has plans to enter a regatta next month, and hopes to have even more members participate and improve on their times. Intensive practices and early mornings are showing strong dedication from the team, and they hope to win a few races next month.
