What is the English for Art Purposes (EAP) Work Group?
The EAP Work Group is where international students enrolled in EAP courses can work together on language learning assignments with the help of a tutor and technology.
Who can visit?
Graduate and undergraduate international students can join the EAP Work Group to complete coursework from any of their EAP classes, and LA 103 or LA 106.
Students can get help in the following EAP coursework areas:
- Grammar
- Writing
- EAP homework assignments
- Preparing presentations and interviews
- Vocabulary building
- Readings
- Study skills
Where do EAP Work Groups meet?
Students meet in the Multi Media Language Lab at 79 New Montgomery in Room 351. The 20 lab stations are divided into 4 groups – A, B, C, and D. Students work in groups of up to 5 students per tutor.
When do EAP Work Groups meet?
EAP Work Group meetings are held Monday through Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm. Meetings start on the hour.
Who are the EAP Work Group tutors?
EAP Work Group tutors have experience teaching ESL and include both part-time and full-time faculty. Tutors will be available to provide assistance specific to each EAP level.
